Painting did not come easy for me after 42 years of rigid hand drawing of maps. At first I found it hard to “let loose” with the brush but I persevered and found my passion for art. My pieces are diversified and I hope my feelings and personality come through in each piece I do.
Carole Donovan is a retired Cartographer originating from Australia. After retirement in California she settled in North Carolina in 2004. To fulfill a dream of becoming an artist she enrolled in the Alamance Community College Art Program and has sold pieces of her work in Washington State, North Carolina, South Carolina Washington and California.
Carole is a Member of the Burlington Artists League, Alamance Artisans Guild and holds a watercolor class for residents at Twin Lakes Senior Community in Burlington two mornings a week.
