AAG Monthly Meeting
November 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join us for our last meeting of 2018! (Note the date was moved to avoid Thanksgiving week.)
Our normal meeting location is not available to us due to the installation of new clergy at the Church of the Holy Comforter in a service scheduled to November 27. We have reserved the meeting room at the May Memorial Library, at 342 S. Spring Street just a block away from the church. The meeting will be at 7:00PM, as usual. Also, parking is available in a lot directly across Spring Street from the entrance to the Library or you may parallel park on the street.
We are excited about our program which will be a Potter’s Panel, featuring clay artists who are also members of our guild: Jan Holloman, Deb Barnett, Martha Sink, Curry Wilkinson, Pam Groben, Brenda Hornsby Heindl, and Susan Kern. These clay artists will talk briefly about how they got involved in pottery and how they work. Some of these folks hand-build, some throw on the wheel, some fire with electricity, some fire with wood, some salt fire. They will bring some examples of their work. Some of the speakers will be driving from Durham and Hillsborough, so please come out and support their effort! This panel will be a trial format. If the membership enjoys this, we could plan similar events highlighting other mediums next year. It is a great way to get to know your fellow guild members! The meeting will adjourn by 8:30 pm. Come join the fun!
