Alamance Artisans Guild announces the evolution of our successful Alamance Studio Tour to honor the power of nature (hurricanes in October) by planning an all-guild indoor event! The Steering Committee has been busy planning our new October event, the Alamance Artisans Annual Art Extravaganza, which will take place at the Vailtree Event & Conference Center in Haw River.

2017 Dates
Saturday, October 14 (10 am–5 pm), and Sunday, October 15 (noon–5 pm), with a half-day setup on Friday, October 13

Vailtree Event & Conference Center
1567 Bakatsias Lane
Haw River, NC 27258

The Vailtree Event Center is a fantastic venue offering over 12,000 square feet of multiple connecting rooms. It is conveniently located directly off I-85/I-40, exit ramp #150, between Mebane and Graham. Bakatsias Lane is directly opposite the parking lot of Alamance Community College at the end of the service road. The center is wheelchair accessible with ample parking and restroom facilities. A covered portico entrance ensures the safety of our artwork and our guests’ comfort. The Vailtree has a kitchen, plasma screens, a sound system, and an elevated stage where we may have art demonstrations. Also arrangements have been made for security guards to be present.

The Steering Committee is organizing a Food Committee which will arrange to serve light snacks, and wine to our visitors. It is designing a special event logo, promotional signage, and more. This is sure to be an event you won’t want to miss!

You must be a member of Alamance Artisans Guild to participate! Join online or download an application form here.

The participant entry fee is the same as that of recent studio tours: $160 per artist; family rate $290. Minimum participation for the event is 25 AAG members, and the maximum is 50. Each artist will be assigned a 10’ x 10’ appropriate display space, depending on the number of participants. The application will be available Friday, March 17, through Sunday, May 21, here on the Alamance Artisans website and can be completed online. Fees may be paid online.
