At its April 2013 meeting the Alamance Artisans guild voted to make a donation to the Children’s Museum of Alamance County to purchase art supplies for the museum’s Artists’ Workshop. The venue is a large glass enclosure in which paints and brushes are available for children of all ages to express their creativity on the glass walls. When the wall is full, museum employees simply hose it off and invite new artists in. Above, in front of the wall, the museum’s former director Kathy Hackstraw accepts a $100 check from Carolyn Bell, Alamance Artisans guild board liaison for the Community Relations Committee, in June 2013.
