Second Half Creations
watercolor, colored pencil, photography, and crafts such as iris-folded cards and quilted Christmas ornaments

Fine art and crafts have become my daily focus since retirement. I enjoy watercolor painting, colored pencil, photography and making crafts such as iris-folded cards, Christmas ornaments and corn shuck dolls. I enjoy teaching youth arts and crafts through the Clover Arts Young Artists 4-H Club in Alamance County.

Artist Bio

I am retired from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, North Carolina State University. I have always enjoyed arts and crafts. Upon retirement, I decided to learn how to paint and began taking watercolor classes at Alamance Community College. I have taken classes and workshops with well known artists Ken Hobson, Kate Lagaly, Alexis Lavine, Susan Crouch, Sterling Edwards, and Soon Y. Warren. In 2014, I started Second Half Creations to promote my work. I am a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, the Raleigh/Durham Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society, The Watercolor Society of North Carolina, Alamance Arts, Alamance Artisans guild, and the Burlington Artist League.
