Artist Bio

Wayne H. Drumheller is a Burlington, North Carolina based award
winning photojournalist, fine art photographer, and best-selling
author. He is the Founder of the Alamance Writing as Art and
Publishing Workshops, Alamance Writers’ Night and the ‘Writer in
Residence’ for the Textile Heritage Museum and historic Glencoe
Cotton Mill Village, Burlington, NC.

Wayne is a US Army veteran, former educator, and author of 10 fine art
photography-narrative books. He is a graduate of the US Army Photography
School at Fort Monmouth, NJ, and a distinguished service alumnus of the US Army
Pictorial Center/Paramount Studios in NYC. He received his Associate of Arts
Degree in Journalism from Santa Rosa Junior College and Bachelor's Degree from
Sonoma State University, California, and his Masters of Education from the
University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is an active member of the
Burlington Artists League Gallery, Virginia Blue Ridge Writers, Rockfish River
Valley Writers, Burlington Writers Club, North Carolina Writers' Network and
participates in a series of independent writers and photographers’ groups across
the USA.
It has been his honor to have worked with photographers, writers and journalists:
Ansel Adams, Andy Warhol, Hugh Morton, Gordon Parks, Cindy Sherman,
Emmet Gowin and Earl Hamner, Jr. Each, in their own way, have influenced his
photography, writing and art.
