Anita V Designs
textile art and jewelry
I love the creative process. When I am making my art, be it weaving jumprings into bracelets or painting with fabric and thread, I experience inspiration and guidance from the Creator. It is like growing a garden: I have the seed of an idea. I apply the nurture of practice and trust that I am not alone in the endeavor.
Anita began her art journey making jewelry. Then her love of sewing and fabric moved her into fiber arts. She is mostly self-taught but has attended classes at Sawtooth School for Visual Art along with many online classes in fiber arts and surface design. Her work includes art quilts, wool felting, silk fusion and handmade jewelry.
Anita is a member of Alamance Arts, Center for Visual Artists in Greensboro, Studio Art Quilts Associates, and American Quilters Society. She has been a member of Alamance Artisans since 2014 and is currently co-president.
