Linda Holch Gordon

Acrylic painting

In my paintings I try to capture how the light and reflections play on the boats and the water. l love the dramatic contrast and interplay of the light and dark shadows created by the intense sun out on the water and the reflections in the water. Vivid colors make me happy, so I am drawn to scenes that are bright and cheerful. I am also inspired by architecture and the shadows created by the light from different angles. When I travel and photograph boats, beaches, buildings with flower laden balconies, l have a painting in my mind of that special moment in time. When you look at my paintings, I want you to be transported there with me, enjoying that moment, too.
